These terms govern your use of neocortic.com (the “Site”), which is operated by Neocortic LLC (“Neocortic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Purpose of the site
The Site describes our organization, research interests, principles, and areas of work. It is provided for general information and to let prospective collaborators contact us.
Nothing on the Site is an offer, promise, or commitment to undertake a project. Any research, consulting, development, data processing, or other professional engagement requires a separate written agreement defining scope, responsibilities, confidentiality, intellectual property, data handling, fees, and other applicable terms.
No professional or clinical advice
Content on the Site is not medical, clinical, diagnostic, treatment, legal, tax, investment, accounting, or other professional advice. References to EKG, CT, economic, forecasting, or other models describe areas of work and research; they are not recommendations or validated conclusions for any particular person or decision.
Do not rely on the Site for emergency, clinical, financial, safety-critical, or other consequential decisions. Consult an appropriately qualified professional.
Contact and confidential information
The contact form opens your email application. Sending a message does not create a confidential, fiduciary, professional, or client relationship and does not obligate us to respond or accept work.
Do not send protected health information, patient records, financial account details, trade secrets, export-controlled data, or other sensitive material through the Site or ordinary email. Confidential project information should be shared only after suitable confidentiality and security arrangements are in place.
You retain ownership of material you send us. You grant us permission to review and use it only as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, evaluate a potential relationship, comply with law, and protect our rights. A later written agreement may establish different terms.
Acceptable use
You may not use the Site to:
- Break the law or infringe another person’s rights;
- Introduce malicious code or interfere with the Site’s operation or security;
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
- Harvest contact information or send spam; or

You may view and print reasonable portions for personal, noncommercial, or internal informational use. Names, marks, images, and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners.

The Site may rely on hosting providers or link to third-party websites. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.
Availability and changes
We may correct, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We do not promise that the Site will always be available, complete, accurate, current, secure, or free of errors.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute concerning the Site or these terms will be subject to the courts with jurisdiction in New Mexico, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
